In a world that can be cruel at any moment, you can make it crueler or better.

You can choose to create life. That's easy. But what's your intent? Not so easy.Unlike suffering, which can be be intentional or unintentional, kindness can only be felt when it's intentional.Compassion and patience take effort.Whereas, anger and impatience are effortless. In a world that can be cruel at any moment, you can make it crueler or better.- Positive Masters, Jon Riki Karamatsu, 9/14/2020 -As I dive deeper into my studies of psychology, philosophy, sociology, mental health, neuroscience, history, and other fields about humans, I came up with this poem. Some humans can be so destructive, yet others can be so loving. On the bright side, throughout history, many people have done amazing things, even finding purpose and happiness under the cruelest and most heartbreaking situations. Be...

Embrace obstacles as something that normally occurs. So when something does go wrong, you're calm and ready to take it on like it's no big deal. Tell yourself, "I will become better because of this obstacle."

It always amazes me when people get upset by an obstacle, like when someone rejects their work or business proposal. They start blaming the messenger. They dumb down the system. They attack the other party that rejected them. This is wasted energy. They could use their precious energy for their next moves. Don't be surprised when something goes wrong because it will. Those who wish obstacles never get in their way will always be upset when they do. Those who wish everything is suppose to be perfect will always get upset for any imperfection that occurs. I came up with the following quote early in the morning of April 2, 2020 when I thought about how important it is for your conscience to be moving in step with time and to not be stuck in your depressed past or ahead in your anxious future: To live in the present, you must move with time. The past does not move. Neither does the future.Whatever you experienced in the past, stays there. As for the future, it remains still, waiting for you.The magic happens when you consistently move with time. Simplicity is in our core.

Simplicity is in our core. If we lose our appreciation for this, we lose our being.- +positive masters+, Jon Riki Karamatsu, 3/19/2018 - Cherish every little thing that brings value into your life. I seek savior in ages of critical thought.

I'm so lost.I have one foot in the living, while the other foot is out.I seek savior in ages of critical thought. - poem, +positive masters+, Jon Riki Karamatsu, 3/3/2020 - At times, you may have conflicting feelings that pull you in opposite directions. In this poem, I refer to your feeling of wanting to get away from everything; yet, you're still wanting to be a part of it. You're frustrated with the bad things in the universe; yet, you greatly appreciate the good. If you're feeling this, I understand. I go through these periods too. Critical thinking - philosophy has helped me to calm my racing mind and fears. For example, Stoicism and Buddhism has been beneficial for me when...
