Don't blow things up out of proportion or minimize them.

Cognitive Distortions - Part 6 Don't blow things up out of proportion or minimize them. When you fail, don't exaggerate your errors and imperfections. Don't blow them up way out of proportion because doing so will cause you unnecessary grief. Everyone makes mistakes. Failure plays a huge role in your learning process; however, you may fear it as you get older. Constantly remind yourself that failure is part of your growth. If you fall down, you can get back up again stronger by learning from your mistakes. To live in the present, you must move with time. The magic happens when you consistently move with time.

I came up with the following quote early in the morning of April 2, 2020 when I thought about how important it is for your conscience to be moving in step with time and to not be stuck in your depressed past or ahead in your anxious future: To live in the present, you must move with time. The past does not move. Neither does the future.Whatever you experienced in the past, stays there. As for the future, it remains still, waiting for you.The magic happens when you consistently move with time. Orange can make you feel happy and energized! What are your favorite flowers? What are you favorite colors? Use flower therapy and color therapy to alleviate your stress, worries, depression and/or anger. Enjoy the +positive...

When you're anxious or depressed, you may freeze-up and find it difficult to do your work or even your basic tasks. Instead, you think about your worries or painful memories. When you're unable to do anything to help yourself progress, your worries or sadness increases because now you have added stress for all the things you haven't been able to keep up with. As a result, your anxiety or depression compounds, pulling you deeper and deeper into darkness. People expecting your work, may take it out on you, not knowing the struggles you're dealing with: death of a loved one,...

Don't jump to negative conclusions.

Cognitive Distortions - Part 5 Don't jump to negative conclusions. Sometimes you mind read people when you're not a mind reader. For example, you may jump to a conclusion that a person doesn't like you when in fact that person finds you interesting. Neither are you a fortune teller. For instance, you may jump to a conclusion that no one will like reading your book before you even attempt at writing it. How can you predict that? You may have a masterpiece that people love.
